Welcome to santalconsultancy.com (the "Site"), operated by Santal Consultancy ("Santal," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using this Site, submitting the Strategic Growth Assessment, or booking a call with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About These Terms

These Terms govern your use of the Site only. They are not a services agreement. If you engage Santal for consulting, product development, or any other paid service, that engagement will be governed by a separate written agreement (e.g., a proposal, statement of work, or master services agreement), the terms of which will take precedence over this document for that engagement.

2. Who We Are / What We Do

Santal is a strategic innovation and product consultancy. The Site provides general information about our services (AI Integration Strategy, Client Qualification, Operational Efficiency, Product Development/MVP, Go-To-Market Strategy, and related offerings) across industries including Legal Tech, Tax Tech, EdTech, Gaming, Cloud Computing, and Healthcare.

Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding offer to provide services on specific terms. Service engagements begin only once both parties sign a separate agreement.

3. Strategic Growth Assessment

The Site offers an interactive "Strategic Growth Assessment" tool ("Assessment"). By using the Assessment, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • What we collect. When you complete the Assessment, we collect the information you provide (e.g., your responses about your business or product, and your contact details such as name and email address).
  • How we use it.
    • To send you a copy of your Assessment results and related follow-up communication by email; and
    • To add your information to our client relationship management (CRM) system, so that our team may follow up with you regarding Santal's services.
  • What we don't (currently) do. As of the date of these Terms, Assessment responses are reviewed and actioned by our team; they are not processed by third-party AI/LLM tools to auto-generate your report. If this changes, we will update this section and our Privacy Policy accordingly.
  • No advice. The Assessment is a lead-qualification and educational tool. Any output, recommendation, or "Santal Recommends" content it generates is general in nature, does not constitute professional, legal, financial, tax, or investment advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for a tailored engagement with our team.
  • Accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit. We are not liable for outcomes resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information you provide.

Your personal information is also subject to our Privacy Policy [link — to be published], which describes your rights under applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and how to withdraw consent or request deletion of your information.

4. Cookies & Analytics

The Site uses cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve our content and services. 5. Booking a Call

The Site allows you to book a call with us via a third-party scheduling tool (Google Calendar). Use of that tool is subject to the third-party provider's own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. Booking a call does not create a client relationship or any obligation on Santal's part until a separate agreement is signed.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, the "Santal" name and wordmark, the Assessment tool, and its underlying questions, logic, and output formats — is owned by Santal or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial reference.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site or Assessment to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or our data;
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract content from the Site without our permission;
  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law.

8. No Professional Advice / No Guarantee of Results

Nothing on the Site — including blog content, service descriptions, case studies, or Assessment output — constitutes legal, financial, tax, investment, or other professional advice. Statistics and figures referenced in blog content are sourced from third parties as cited and are provided for informational purposes only.

Past results, case studies, or client examples referenced on the Site are not guarantees of future performance. Business and product outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ASSESSMENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SANTAL AND ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR THE ASSESSMENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED CAD $10.

(This limitation does not apply to separately signed services agreements, which will contain their own liability terms.)

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Santal, its founders, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

12. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or tools (e.g., our scheduling tool, blog source citations). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
